  7. The Peterjohn Mortgage Credit system fully automates the production of mortgage
  8. loan credit reports. It is written in a 4GL to allow easy modification. It
  9. interfaces with all four major consumer credit bureaus (TRW, TU, CBI/ACS,
  10. Chilton) to automatically retrieve the applicant's credit history. The raw data
  11. from all the bureaus is merged into a common format with all status codes
  12. expanded into plain English. The merged history is then edited and cleared
  13. online. Typing is minimized, most reports can be processed simply by entering
  14. the application information. The system automates the most time consuming
  15. tasks, keeping an online directory of creditor information for phone checks,
  16. and generating by mail-only form letters.
